I live in AZ now and miss so many of the good foods there. I can have some of them shipped to me but, unfortunately not all of them :(

i know how ya feel - i just recently moved back to within driving distance of chicago after being gone for ten years. it's like nirvana.
italian beef, DIPT. with giardinara and fries rolled up in the wax paper with it.
of course the perennial chicago hot dog, with the works - including cucumbers, fluorescent green relish, and sport peppers. NO ketchup.
white fence farm fried chicken
home run inn pizza
original rainbow cone ice cream
fried shrimp from korner shrimp house on archer
POLISH food
gyros
rib dinners
good chinese food
jay's hot stuff potato chips
gaucho bbq beef in a tub
affy tapples
tom-tom tamales
green river soda
"big baby" hamburgers from any greek carryout named nicky's or mickey's
maxwell street style polish "sassage".

Probably the food I miss most about Chicago is the good ole Italian Beef with Peppers... no comparison to the Philly Cheese Steak

Deep dish pizza from Gino's East, Lou Malnati's Edwardo's or Giordano's, cheddar char burgers with grilled onions and cheddar cheese sauce from Weiner Circle, gyros plates from Hub's, almost anything from Garcia's Mexican Restaurant, ribs and chops from Carson's and ice cream from Zephyrs.

The deep dish pizza. I am a New Yorker and I love the foldable slice, but that deep dish pizza should be called better than sex pizza because it is ohhhhhhhhh ssssooooo goooooooodddd!!!

The Chicago-style pizza is the best! I have to agree that LaSalle pizza is very, very good.
