Gas. There is no wait for heat, and you have better control over the amount of heat being used.

gas for stove tops - because I can get the exact amount of heat I need without worrying about the residual heat in the electrical element
For ovens I like electric- I think that it's more accurate and I rarely have to adjust oven heat.

Propane gas because that is what my grandmother and mother cooked on, and that is what kind of stove I use.

being a cook, gas, because you can control the heat alot better. It's also good for wok cooking and straight charring things like bell peppers.

Electric heat is not easily regulated and cooks unevenly.
Gas is much better.
