Alright guys!I'm not going to try and go shopping naked or anything, but if I'm at the river and want to skinny dip a bit (provided there are no children around) I'd like to know before hand what kind of laws/ordinances there are.

You can examine the actual language of a law by looking that one up in your state penal code. Penal codes are often accessible on line and you'd be putting in keywords having to do with indecent exposure, etc. What you're trying to research is the specific section that 'describes' what an illegal exposure is, rather than just hearing people speak of it general terms.
If not on line, then you will find you state penal code book in the reference section of your local library.
Sometimes it's best to actually 'see' and read the wording, rather than rely on the personal interpretations of us Yahoo yahoo's, who sometimes don't have it exactly correct :)

I think it's based on obscenity laws (city and state) rather than nudity laws. The obscenity laws will tell you what is acceptable. There are a few major cities that allow women to go bare breasted. I don't think any allow below the waste exposure though.

Some places allow topless if its not in the course of business. Almost all I believe say you got to keep your bottoms on.
