The Special K Diet, is you replace 2 meals a day with any type of the Special K Cereal and you will lose 10 pounds. I'm on it and so far it is working.

Hi
At 13 you are a bit young to be going on a diet as you will still be going on growth spurts and are likely to change shape a lot naturally in the next few years.
If you want to be fitter you should try and be more active even if its just trying to walk for 20 minutes a day.

The diet works because it involves eating two small bowls of calories a day, not snacking and eating a main meal for dinner. This would mean your daily intake is about 1200 calories (depending what you eat for dinner) As you need 2000 to maintain your weight (in an adult woman) you will loose weight.

However this is not a sustainable diet, you loose the weight in the short term and gain it and more when you go back to eating normally.

It would be more healthy and long term to try and eat some more fruit and vegetables. If you see some foods as good and some as evil then you end up being obsessed by food and binging and then feel bad.

So in sum Special K diet doesn't work in the long term.

It works because it cuts calories so drastically. But really, you can replace meals with anything that's 200 calories and lose weight. It's the same principal as Slim Fast.

If you stick to it yes, if ur using the right milk yes, and if u excercise 30 to 40 mins a day, then it'll work oh if u don't eat too much of the cereal.
