Its a pecan or walnut pie that is like the normal pecan pie but has a thick layer of chocolate, almost like a runny fudge, in the middle. very, very, rich and incrediably tasteful.

Black Forest Pecan Pie

1/4 cup butter (melted)
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate (melted)
2/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Prepared chocolate pie crust
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 T. whipping cream
1 (15 oz.) can peacan pie filling

In a large bowl, combine butter, melted chocolate, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Add flour and walnuts; mix well. Spread batter into chocolate pie crust. Bake at 350 degrees 18 to 20 minutes or until top looks dry and feels firm when gently touched. Cool. In a pan over low heat, stir together chocolate chips and whipping cream until smooth; spread over pie. When frosting is cool, transfer pecansfrom can with a slotted spoon to top dessert.

Chocolate Caramel Pecan Pie


Prep Time: 15 min
Total Time: 2 hr 15 min
Makes: 10 servings


25 KRAFT Caramels
2 Tbsp. milk
1 cup chopped toasted PLANTERS Pecans
1 HONEY MAID Graham Pie Crust (6 oz.)
1 pkg. (8 squares) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP French Vanilla Whipped Topping, thawed, divided



PLACE caramels in medium microwaveable bowl. Add milk. Microwave on HIGH 2-1/2 to 3 min. or until caramels are completely melted, stirring after each min. Stir in pecans. Pour into crust.
MICROWAVE chocolate in medium microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1-1/2 to 2 min. or until chocolate is completely melted, stirring after each min. Add 2 cups of the whipped topping; stir with wire whisk until well blended. Spread evenly over caramel layer in crust.
REFRIGERATE at least 2 hours. Let stand at room temperature 10 to 15 min. before serving. Top with the remaining whipped topping. Store leftover pie in refrigerator.
