As supposed to what? a resident Alien?

If that is the question then, loving this country and what it stands for is the only possible answer. As there are no legal benefits and a myriad of tax related issues the new citizen exposes himself to.

The only reason to become a US citizen is that you would have the right to vote and to hold public office.

Probably living free without laws and culture restrictions.

Also some areas like the desert or arctic regions have VERY harsh climates which most people would find unfavourable.

The job opportunities and just being able to live here in general.

My parents both became citizens because their jobs moved here and I think thats why most come, for jobs and money and the opportunities.

you Will be able to vote and you can travel w/ USA passport and you also can bring close family to the USA to live w/ you
