My hair is exactly like yours and I am faced with the problem of how to style it every morning since there is not a heck of alot of things to do with it.

Here's two styling options for your date.

Option A) Keep it down. Simple, easy, and it looks great. Here's how to make it look really good for just leaving it down. Its what I do almost every morning and it turns out really good.

1. Wet your hair. I don't mean damp wet, I mean like just out of the shower wet.

2. Towel dry it so that its still wet, but not dripping all over you.

3. Comb it with a wide tooth comb.

4. Get mousse (I use Garnier Frutics, but any kind would work) and spray a huge glob (there's no other way to describe it) on your hand. Rub it between your hands so you get about the same amount on each one.

5. Starting at your hair line on your forehead, run your hands through your hair all the way to the ends so that the mosse is worked into your hair.

6. Take the wide tooth comb again and comb your hair through the same way that you did after you wet it.

7. Turn your head upside down and shake it gently. If you over shake it you will seperate the curls.

8. Let your hair AIR DRY!!!!! DO NOT USE A BLOW DRYER!!!! DO NOT TOUCH YOUR HAIR UNTIL IT IS COMPLETLY DRY. This is very important because if you blow dry it, it might get puffy and if you touch it, you might wreck the curls.

And thats all to it. Really simple, but classic and it looks amazing.

Option B) Side Pony Tail. This is a just a low pony tail ,but its on the side of your head. I think this would be nice if your date is a casual one.

1. Follow the steps for option A (hair down).

2. Once your hair is completly dry, gather it all to the side of your head, which ever side you prefer.

3. Tie your hair on the side of your head into a pony tail. Try to get as many ends in as you can (this is if you have layers).

4. If needed, use a little hairspray or gel to hold back the strands that won't stay in the pony tail. Don't over do it with this step. It looks better if the hair on the rest of your head is a little wavy and not plastered to your head.

5. If you want, to finish it off, get one of those pony holders with a flower on it and tie it over the pony holder that is keeping your hair in place so that the flower is facing front. I think that this is a nice touch, but it is completly optional.

And thats all there is to it. Either of these styles will work for most dates.

Good luck,

Loosely toss it up and pull some spirals down to soften the face.

Get some Frizz Ease to smooth it out and then pull the front back into a clip.

I have similar hair and I usually go for the loose, causal up-do! It's sophisticated but fun, and great when it's hot and humid out. Goodluck!
