Neither of them supports illegal immigration. The differance comes in how to secure the border and deal with the illegals already over here. Republicans want you to fear the illegals and their immigration into the United States, and Democrats want to deal with the illegals already here in a humanly way. Both parties want to secure the southern border.

You have to look at individuals. Bush and Frist and McCain (republicans) support open borders so they can exploit all workers equally. Kennedy and most Senate Democrats were for the Senate Bill as well. The House Republicans tend to be pro-border security , etc.

no party supports illegal immigration.

Both parties support some form of legalization for the millions of people in the US already. Both parties support a guest worker program.

Illegal aliens are people that reside in this country and we don't know who they are, were they are, what they do. Unlike legal residents and citizens that are accounted for, it is important that we identify them and make them productive members of our society. That is the stance of both parties, they however, differ on how to do that.

You really can't say "ALL" Republicans or "All" Democrats, there are members of both parties that support and members of both that oppose immigration.
