Illegal votes may have made the difference in at least one Congressional election. In 1996, Rep. Bob Dornan lost his Orange County, California seat to Loretta Sanchez by fewer than 1,000 votes. State elections officials found that at least 300 votes in that election were cast illegally by non-citizens

He's just saying this for his own votes. You're falling prey to politics. If this had a way to benefit him he wouldn't say anything.
Voter fraud exists every major election. 300 votes is nothing compared to the overall picture.
The anchor baby law cannot be replaced. Any person born in the US is a citizen by definition. If this basic right is changed then who is to say where the line will be drawn for "deciding" citizenship.

Illegal immigrants CANNOT vote. Bob Dornan lost to Loretta Sanchez because he was a jerk and not in touch with his constituents. Loretta Sanchez is awesome.
As for "anchor babies", you're dead WRONG. Many countries allow this ... for instance, my son was born in Germany at an American Army hospital. If we had chosen, he could have been made a German citizen (and their social programs pay moms to stay home the first 5 years), or he could have gotten dual American/German citizenship.
So, if we end our program, do you think that other countries should ban us, too? That would be fair, don't you think?

So. He really only lost by 700 valid votes.
There so much voter fraud in this country, to the tune of thousands of votes per state in ever election. What difference does a few hundred more or less make. If we're not going to fix the overall problem, then worrying about the details is just a waste of time.

as long as only 10% of americans vote it will always be easy to find a name and SS# to use to vote under.
Funny how easy it is to take over a nation even by a 3rd world country. And the funnest thing is they had no idea thay were taking over the worlds super power.

No, if anything it's just a failure of our electoral system to police itself for voter fraud. Personally, I think america needs to declare its' independence from Mexico. We've supported these people long enough.
