I have been lucky but I frequent Mustangforums.com where many people have had at least one problem fixed under warranty already, mostly on 2005's though, they got most of the bugs out for 2006-7. The problems are...
1) filling gas tank as noted above, they do have a fix for it that works now
2) fuel pump gets air bubbles around it after long cruise, then causes hesitation and/or stalling
3) groaning/whining noise on tight slow turns due to clutch pack in rear differential I believe
4) rattle in the dash (yes, theres actually a TSB for this!)
and I think possibly a few others. The point is that the dealer has to fix all these problems or you can get them under the lemon law and get a new car. The Mustang GT is a SWEET car well worth the money, and if you're looking at a brand new (06-07) model it most likely won't have any of these issues! Good luck.

I've sold LOTS of the new Mustangs & so far only one of my customers has told me of a problem.
It seems that when she tries to fill up the gas tank , the gas station pump keeps shutting off. I'm not sure if its the same gas station pump or if it's all pumps but she says it takes her forever to fuel up because of this.
My service department couldn't find anything wrong with the vehicle & i don't know if it's still a problem or if this has happened to anybody else.
But that is the only complaint that I've heard of ever.

I have one. it's a GT convertible. I do not have any reliability issues (yet, at least.)
As a matter of fact, I trust Ford in making the Mustang. It is such a big icon for Ford. They can't afford to mess it up.
It's fast, powerful and affordable.
Get one
