I don't believe that there are more child molesters in the Catholic priesthood than in the general population. But I think that there is a logical psychological motivation for this attraction, in the case of priests, having to do with an arrested emotional / sexual development. Just my theory. Most of the time the decision to enter the priesthood is made when the individual is quite young, early teens or even preteens. I believe the attraction to young boys is, in some twisted way, probably an attempt to recapture one's own lost youth.

Your question, to be taken seriously, would need a comparison ratio such as 30% of the population claim to be Christian. 1/3 of those are male. So approximately 10% of the population are Christian males. What percentage of pedophiles are Christian males? Then "so many" can be interpreted as expressing a truth which can be reviewed.

But, I don't think it's right to imply that all Christian men like to do this, nor is it right to imply all priests like to do this. Implying such a thing is a generalization, and I doubt your intention is to be that type of person who makes broad generalizations about people.

The bottom line is it is wrong for any person, regardless of faith or occupation, to force sex onto any people.

im a christian man of 53 years and i dont do or even think about what you have written. i am appalled at the idea and disgusted at the way some men conduct themselves.however i have only heard of catholic priests taking indecent liberties with minors.it has been in most newspapers.

hmm hy gay partners srevie and davey, my boyfriend daveey starting out when he was aroung 9 years old(altar boy) bye ecoming gay bye being sodmized bye a catholatic priest, it says they only go after thr cream of the crop< etc, looks, and more hot looks. and being, this way which he is, and when confronted bye it they just dumped the priest off too another church or locationn, and tis goes on and on in the confines of ther catholaticc church too hell with evertthing just sweep it under the rug and move there priests around, too hide cover up things. now know ing my boyfriend whom i trust with all my heart i know something went on there, and he says thats his reasons for becoming gay. the more loks you have as altar boy and my boyfrind is drop dead gorgeouss blue eyes blonde hair type, and this priest weent nuts over him then and his hot looks.

not so much, there have been more than one protestant child molestations. Look at the PC crowd, once we let gays into the church we were asking for trouble, and look at what we got.
