I'm a fairly big Italian guy and I work nightshift. Due to health issues, I was told by my Dr. to eliminate all Dairy, Sugar, Salt and Caffiene... I'm guessing I will become a very small, cranky and TIRED Italian guy soon... are there any recipes for foods that can help and don't taste like hamster bedding?

no dairy, sugar, salt and caffiene, sounds like protein and vegetables, so maybe you could grill alot, fish, chicken, low fat beef? watch out for fat free dressings because they have sugar. sorry about the caffiene, night shift and all. tough life sometimes, good luck.

try sugarfree oatmeal cookies - look in the sugar free or diabetic section of your grocery. When I get cranky, I drink a slimfast chocolate shake - fills the craving for something artificial. Also-be sure to have protein with every meal - it will help from getting so tired.

Do you have diabetes? Insulin resistance? Fatty liver? Did he have you do lab work before he told you to cut out those foods. If he didn't order labs I would ask for some lab work, or see a new doctor.
