First of all let me say... if you dont want to hear what i have to say here hit your back button now and move on.
I see all the agnostics and athiests on here spewing and ranting all the time... mad at God or calling for us to prove him.... #1 God did not call anyone to prove him... he told us to proclaim him... and that I will do my entire life. #2 No one is righteous... not one of us.... im no better nor any worse than anyone else.. the only thing that sets me apart from some is the gift of salvation I have accepted from Jesus Christ..... that same offer is open to each and everyone of you.
#3, They all want to whine and rant about an unfair God who mistreats people.... they forget that he is God... he sets the rules.. whether you like it or not your accountable to those rules.
You WILL bow and confess him.... like it or not the word says "every knee will bow and every tongue confess" The only question is will you do it now.... or will you do it at judgement? Either way, you will

SO, you've met this man named God? Can you actually prove that HE exists? Please, it's still only YOUR "belief" ... No one has really proven that God exists. God did NOT write the words you babble ... man did, to control his own self, because he is not strong enough without restrictions on himself to be good.

#1. The bible is not God... in any shape or form.
#2. I see them saying that the way God is represented, he isn't what people claim him to be. A fine example is His Great Mercy... yet "if you do not love me, you'll burn for eternity" This is not Just nor is it Mercy.

Just because you have been handed a book and been told "These are God's Rules" doesn't mean they are. The very first story in the Bible shows that much! God taught Adam not to eat of a certain tree... Adam taught Eve... and taught her wrong, which is why it was so easy for the "serpent" to deceive her. Yet that was God's Law. If Adam, a supposedly perfect being at that specific time could get it wrong (which would lead me to believe he wasn't created Perfect) that easily... I'm not sure how others could get it 100% right copying it over and over again.

My knees do not Bow. You Bow at the waist... not the knees.

ANd the "either way, you will" why even say it if that is what you believe? THis is the type of thing that sets non's off. Because it just more or less looks like you hiding behind your God saying "Ooohhh you're in trouble now..." and then dealing out threats, while snickering behind God's Robes.

And as for Agnostics and Atheists spewing and ranting... what did you just do?????? It's questions like this that lead people like me to believe that you think this place is only for Christians to display their "Righteous Anger" (not that I have ever seen righteous anger... just a lot of whining).

Now, my question would be... when are you going to bow to Mithras? He died for the sins before Jesus was ever born. Or How about Dionysus? He was crucified on a cross, had 12 disciples and walked on water... his first miracle was also turning water into wine. Or, wait, how could I forget Apollo?

This story is not unique in any way... and one of those "rules" in the Old Test is not to follow after storytellers, nor do as the Pagans do.... yet the entire premise of Jesus dying on the cross comes from Pagan Storytellers.

Have a nice day.

I am an atheist, though I was once Christian. In all my life, I have never been happier than I am now. With all my heart, mind, and body, with every ounce of strength I have within my being, I renounce any and all faith in God, whether Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Native, or any other variant of God.

If I am drenched in the blood of your messiah, I wash it off, reject, and renounce it. The blood of a suicidal and insane man who lived 2000 years ago has nothing to do with me.

There is no void in my life, contrary to what many christians say. I do not "secretly know that there is a god" nor do I hate god -- to hate a thing, you must believe it exists. I am emotionally ambivalent to God as he does not exist.

I live a moral and good life, seeking to end pain and promote individual and community well-being. The lack of belief in God has not caused me to lose my moral compass, indeed, in every way it has made me all the more clearly focused on that moral compass.

I reject your religion and all its fairytale stories of heaven, hell, reincarnation, life after death, the ressurection of the many cruicified Gods, among them Odhinn, Mithras, and the Christian Messiah, Yeshua of Nazareth.

I have considered Pascal's Wager and found it wanting. The idea that belief is infinitely rewarding and nonbelief is infinitely punishing can be applied to anyone's view of religion, and therefore is invalid.

I demand proof, nothing less. Show me proof of a god, any god, and I will believe.

I will never bend my knee to a god nor shall I ever confess a god, because there is no such thing as a god.

So, then, why do you act so righteous?

Don't you realize that your actions are in opposition to your words?

FYI, God also gave everyone free will, and it's not your place to tell people that they're wrong for not choosing God. If you TRULY believe that we will all face God at our judgement, can't you be comfortable letting everyone do that their way (which is the way God made them to be, don't forget)?

Rejoice in your loving relationship with God. Share this with those who are open to it. Stop preaching to those who aren't. Remember that God will make the final judgement, and let him do his job.

Interesting question, well really a statement. I agree that God is. That God is subject to your interpretation is questionable, at very best. You do have an opinion, and that's good. You seem to have conviction too, again quite admirable. That you take it upon yourself to defend the One, all powerful; all knowing; well perhaps that is a little bit of a stretch but hey, it's your nickle here; not mine. Isn't it wonderful that we have these freedoms, hard fought for; to establish a division of State and Church. I revel in it!

jesus, angry christian, one who can spell, and conjugate verbs...

we're doomed!

but seriously, jesus is cool. there are alot of as$hole$ tho, so I can see why your mad, but seriously, lighten up. No one was ever converted by a pi$$ed off christian.

And no christian was ever shamed out of their belief by some smarta$$. so it'll hafta do that we come on here and laugh at each other, get mad at each other, ask questions about each other, leave answers making fun of each other...

the sad part is we're all the same. it's not the faith or lack thereof that seperates us, it's the punchlines.

You silly christian, you actually have me shakin in my pants because YOU are Different than all the other christians threatening judgement and I am SAVED. I am not angry at God... I simply choose to be good for the sake of being good and not for some eternal reward. You're like a dog who sits when told cause he'll get a biscuit.

On the off chance there really is a supreme being, I plan on spitting in his face, not bowing or confessing. He can stick his rules where the sun don't shine.
