I was wondering how many people are currently aware of this. Some will say, its growing fast only because of high islamic birth rates. But that's not the reason Islam is the fastest growing religion. More people convert to Islam than to any other religion on earth including christianity, even after 9/11 and the media's portrayal of islam.

my point for this question is...that since islam is the fastest growing religion by conversion rates, then all the credit must go towards islam. Even after the media's negative portrayal of islam, it still remains the fastest growing, so it must be a pretty great religion to be able to sustain a fast growing rate even after being condemned on american television and the showing of so called muslims agreeing with the 9/11 attacks. In America as well, it is the fastest growing; this shows that it is not being forced on anybody, but rather being chosen by free will.

The Jews are not demonstrating with their dead on
the streets, yelling and chanting and asking for
revenge; the Jews are not promoting brain washing
the children in military training camps, teaching
them how to blow themselves up and cause maximum
deaths of Jews and other non-Muslims.
The Jews don't hijack planes, nor kill athletes at
the Olympics; the Jews don't traffic slaves, nor
have leaders calling for Jihad and death to all the
Infidels.
The Jews don't have the economic strength of
petroleum, nor the possibilities to force the
world's media to see "their side" of the question.
Perhaps the world's Muslims should consider
investing more in standard education and less in
blaming the Jews for all their problems.

This question has already been answered several times.
It's not the number of people in any belief that render it true. Something is true only when it is. It wouldn't matter how many millions thought Islam was the "true" religion, it will not render it so.
Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life". Islam denies Jesus as savior. So unfortunately, that fastest growing religion has alot of misled people.
By the way, I had to laugh at the remark about Muslims not cramming religion down other people's throats. That person must have missed the "Americans convert to Islam or die!" video.

I think part of the reason for Islam's growth is it is a religion that gives people clear cut and defined "things to do". Thus, it Is a faith that feeds people's need to do "something" to effect their salvation. However, I think many of the people who do convert to Islam are not aware of many of the problems the faith has with respect to its internal consistency, its eschatology, and the violent streak that springs from its moon worshiping roots. Just like a lot of Christians do not read the Bible, so a lot of Muslims do not read the Quran.

You forget the number of people converting from Islam. The numbers are high but, alas Islam does not count those numbers. Muslims would kill those that try to leave in certain countries for betraying their religion.

No, Islam has the highest suicide rate among all religions, and also has the highest conversion rate off 2nd generation family members. Meaning if you have kids, they will be 60 percent chance of NOT being muslim.
Congrats, I hope you are on the watch list.

esters answer is so ignorant. she obviously hasnt met real muslims in her life. muslim people never go out preaching. since when has a muslim come up to you or to your door and told you they wanted to teach you about their religion. we just dont do it. the terrorists in the middle east arent real muslims. just like the christians in the US or those who killed all those jews in germany werent real christians. people are so quick to forget that.
just because the bible claims jesus said something doesnt mean that every other religion is wrong. muslims believe in jesus and that hes a great prophet. but we dont believe he should be worshipped as if he were god. god is god. maybe thats why islam is growing. cause its not confusing. i did always wonder, in chrisitanity is jesus god, son of god, both? and how does god have a family?

Oh no, not again. I don't care how many times you post it, I still don't believe it.
I like the ones that post the quote from Hillary Rodham Clinton. If you converted Hillary, you would want to give her back!
