i have multiple sclerosis and seems to be getting worse. right now i work full-time, but am afraid that will soon change.

Go to your social security office (they're the ones that pay disabilties). And they'll file the paper work for you. It's a 120 day process. Meaning that if you are approved it will take 4 mos., to get your 1st. check. But, it will be retroactive from the day that you filed.Other words, your 1st. check will be for 4 mos. pay.

you will call the ss office and ask them to send out a packet...you will fill the packet out three times because most the time they deny you.

I say when you've been denied once, see if an attorney will help you. It is done to where you pay the attorney once the settlement is done. *usually 30% of your settlement.

wish it weren't this way, but leave it to the goverment....they like the red tape...makes them feel like their job is important.
