ok i`m a Dentist and this is usualy a tricky problem to solve ..

its hard to solve it without examining .. but i`ll give u few tips that may solve ur problem:

1- drink lots of water
2- use a non-alcoholic mouthwash (this is important)
3- floss then brush ur teeth and ur tongue then use the mouthwash
4- brushing ur tongue should be in one way from the back to the front ..
5- if ur having a high protien diet .. try to reduce ur protien intake and brush ur tongue and use a mouthwash after high protien meals

try this for a week, if it doesn`t solve ur problem .. go see ur Dentist

P.S: these instructions will help if ur not having a dental or gingival problem thats causing ur bad breath
but in most cases it will solve this problem

Any toothpaste is fine, bottom line is they all work fine. Make sure you brush your tongue, not just in the front, all the way ine the back even though it'll make you gag. Your tongue should be pink, not white, yellow or brown.

If you stopped flossing for awhile and all of a sudden started up again, then flossing won't help much without a cleaning, you might even need root planing (going under the gumline and scraping plaque/calculus off the root).

Also, remember to use mouthwash after you brush your teeth, and don't rinse afterwards. If this doesn't work, you might have gastrointestinal or other problems, but go to a dentist too. A lot of people complain "I go to the dentist for no reason, I never have cavities." Well, that's the point, to keep your mouth healthy.

Well, I use "Fresh Confidence"- I think it's Colgate brand. What I do is I use the toothbrush to clean the top of my tongue, in addition to brushing my teeth. I brush them quite thoroughly- usually two or three times after eating or drinking anything.

Have you tried Listerine? It's very strong, and it burns my mouth- they say you're supposed to swish it around in your mouth for 30 seconds.

I also chew Trident "Fire" cinnamon flavored gum. If you pop about four of those in your mouth, the cinnamon flavor is VERY strong!

If these ideas don't work, you may want to see a dentist about it. Good luck.

Tongue scrapers! Biotene Mouthwash! Both Musts! Brushing your tongue with the toothbrush isn't good enough you need to clean your Entire tongue with a tongue scraper, Heavy Pressure. Your tongue should be Pink not White. Brush Thouroughly, Floss THOUROUGHLY, and tongue scrape. Always drink water after eating and utilize toothpicks.

Go to the dentist and get a professional cleaning. No amount of toothpaste is going to make plaque on teeth smell better and you need to go to dentist to get it removed. Should get your teeth professionally cleaned every six months.

try a tounge scraper and use it every day. i use mine at night, im too gaggy in the am. also if you eat alot of red meat that will make your breath bad. we dont digest red meat very fast, so it can actually rot in your digestive track and the smell will make your breath and gas really smelly.
