My deepest sympathy. My dog died at the beginning of the year, while I was away from home. I was very sad. Nothing can replace your dog. Getting a new puppy might work for a while, but you will always remember your first dog. I would advice you to take a moment and think of all the good times you and your dog had together. Have a good cry and thank the lord for lending him/her to you. I am truly sorry for your loss.

It's very hard to loose a pet. I have much sympathy for you. You just need to get some time away for a while. Go visit a family member or just take some time by yourself like camping or a spa resort or something. Maybe you could get another dog or pet...? It would make you feel much better.

I'm very sad for you! It's good to just let yourself cry, if you can! (Some people think you need to be "strong" so they won't let themselve cry-that's stupid!) If you try to hold in the grief, it'll just come out in other, negative ways. We're close to losing our 13-year-old dog...and I know it'll hit me hard! You'll get through it, though.

Aww...sorry to hear! That's a normal reaction. Try to remember the good times you had with your dog. It does get better.

There is nothing wrong with your emotions-you wouldn't be human-as I see it-if you didn't feel loss. Pets become family members to ALOT of people, and there is nothing wrong with grieving for them. That honors them, I think. I know it is very difficult right now, and painful. My heart goes out to you!

It's hard to loose a pet, why don't you go do something fun like paintball, rock climb, rafting or camping. Take some time you'll be ok.

sorry, I am a dog lover too. I have lost a few pets, and I found it helps to just talk to someone.I always wonder how my dog would feel if she knew I was crying about her. I know your dog loves you and wants to be happy. Please cheer up!!

My condolences. depending on your situation for those greaving over a pet and not getting over it. I saw another question that the best answer was... to get another puppy.. to fill the void. Best wishes.
