If you have windows working then try to access the internet and download the drivers for your PC, (assuming that it is the drivers you are missing). if you don't have an operating system then you have to find a copy of the operating system from another source possibly who you got the pc from. also see if there is a windows sticker on your pc case with a serial number. If there is you can use some one elses copy to install the OS but use your own serial key.
You can always use one of the many Linux distros (distributions) most are free and more versatile than windows, but the learning curve is sometimes steep!!
best of luck.

I once lost almost everything when my disk failed and had to be replaced. Really you should be more careful. List all the software you have with their activation keys and post the page to your website if you have one, or e-mail them to your yahoo address for safe keeping.

normally depending on the software you can find the drivers online at the company's website.

Probably illegal but morally justified - borrow the software you really had from a friend.

go to download.com and type in the software that you are looking for, you will most probably find what you are looking for and will find that it will probably be free.
