Hi, how can i recover the photos from the corrupted SD card from digital camera . Is there any free software/recovery tool available.

You may want to try reading it through a different device. I have an SD card that won't read in the SD slot in my laptop, but will read when it is put into a card reader through the USB. It's worth a try.

You don't get it... and apparently you didn't do your homework about these cards. First, once a card is formatted to a camera it will not work in any other camera. Second, don't put the card in the computer. Get a usb card reader for that - they're excellent and cheap. I think your card may be bad but the only way to find out is, since your camera no longer works, put the card in the friends camera and try to format the card to that camera. If that works, the card is fine but I'd be pretty sure, unless the reader works, those photos are history. You can not mis treat these cards, they won't stand up to switching from device to device, or storage.
