The same as it was before the diagnosis (but with heightened awareness)... live each day as best you can, and enjoy every moment with the people you love.

You sound like it's the end of the world, trust in God first and foremost, I am a cancer survivor and it's not easy, Iwas diagnosed 15 yrs ago. They said on a scale of 1-10 mind was a 91/2 after a long surgery and 3 months of being able to do nothing and then a year after then going to Ocologist once a week. This past March I had to have two more biopsy's which they caught in time and hopefully got rid of. My advice to you is to know God has a plan for your life, get out from under any stress you are under is what my ocologist preached to me. Live simply, expect little and do the best you can for other people without expecting them to do for you. Also know that were all humans and not miracle workers so take care of yourself. I will be praying for you and I know he answers my prayers. So God bless and try to keep your sense of humor, learn to laugh at yourself, kidd with your doctors and nurses and realize there human to.

What is the meaning of life BEFORE having got a cancer diagnosis ?
Just because the life is SHORTER, doesn't mean the meaning has to change.
And yes, I agree with the previous answers.

Life goes on until the end, be it bitter or sweet. Never give up hope. Try to do some of the things you were waiting to do later. You give meaning to your life by your choices and thoughts. Read How to Prevent and Treat Cancer with Natural Medicine by Mike Murray for many good ideas and sage advice. See also Patrick Quillen's Beating Cancer With Nutrition.
Seek a good friend or counselor and talk about this with them. The internet is probably a poor place to look for life's real meaning.

The meaning of life is to trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour, then
spend the rest of your days serving Him, in gratitude for Him saving your soul from hell. If you really have cancer, (sorry, but there are a lot of goofs on here) I would urge you to trust Him by
faith according to Acts 17:30, John Chapter 3 and Romans Chapter 10. Then read all you can about the Lord, and the home in Heaven he has promised, and purchased for us (who are saved) with his own body and blood. If I had a terminal illness, I
would spend my last days giving testimony of God's grace to others, than look forward to being with Him throughout eternity.

I think you should go and see a doctor/psychiatrist if you're feeling depressed after such a diagnosis.
On a different note, there's plenty of meaning to life. Cancer can be cured - get treatment, use all options available and live your life to the full.. make sure you involve all family and friends.. and maybe talking to other sufferers will help..

I've never had cancer, but my wife was diagnosed with cervical cancer while I was overseas. I can tell you this much, we did the best we could to fight it, and we enjoyed the time that we had left togeather. We got lucky, because it looks like that time we have to spend togeather is going to be indefinite because she is in remission. The only thing you can do, cancer or not, is enjoy the life you have left, good luck.

you mean what is the point in going on? i am sure you have family that love you and would hate to see you give up. so fight. that is the point. half of the battle is staying positive. you need to see a counselor so that you get psyched up to battle this demon instead of rolling over and letting it win. cancer is bad, but not all cancers are as bad as others and many can be succesfully treated. gl

helping other patients with cancer through diet tips, visiting with them when you're their neighbor in the hospital and find out they don't have any family left alive, asking people who visit you about THEIR lives and being a friend to them and still cracking jokes, showing others that life is to be LIVED even up to the very last possible second
