Also, does it matter what kind of disability he has? physical, developmental, psychological, etc?

I would.

I was really angry with one of my friends who refused to call this guy her boyfriend because he couldn't work because he has really severe epilepsy and has seizures. She'll hang with him, have sex with him, and go out with him, but says he could never be her boyfriend because he can't work. That is just wrong to me. He has an income from disability and doesn't ask her for money and has his own place and everything so I don't see what the problem is.

First I would like to know what you mean by "not able to work"?

And, second, in general, if an individual is unable to work an earn some kind of income than most people have no desire to form any type of relationship with them. The reason being that people are afraid that that individual may become a leech - constantly "taking" money from them "to pay the rent" or "to pay the light bill."

I, personally, do not believe that there is no reason as to why someone cannot work. There are plenty of job opportunities out there in the world - it's just a matter of finding them. And, they all do not require the same qualifications.

Nope. I only want to support myself. If something happened to him after the fact, that it a different situation. I would not leave him over an injury. I just know myself and I would be irritated by a man who cannot work.
