ah no its just darker because its exposed in the oven where being burnt to a small extent at this point the browning occurs therefore it is just dark and not any more healthy. if you want health try wheat bread over white bread.

My mum used to tell me this - she said it would make my hair curly! When you think about it, you realise that the crust is made of exactly the same ingredients as the rest. It was just a way to get us kids to finish up all the bread and not waste any - and after eating all those crusts I still have straight hair!

I have heard thats where most the grains in the bread are,alot of people don't like crust I know but it don't seem to bother me any.

i think it's about the same just a little more browned than the rest...my fav part though!!
