Where I work, there are so many fast food restaurants...no wonder so many people are overweight. Does anyone know what is healthy to eat besides the boring salad or sandwich?

Sandwhiches can be healthy too, if you know what you;re doing. One of the worst things to eat is White bread (aka. Wheat Bread). It's really just sugar. Choose "Whole-wheat" or "Multigrain" bread. It's much healthier, giving you good-carbs and a lot more fiber.

Any vegetables you put on a sandwhich will be good also. But, stay away from processed deli meats which tend to have tons of preservatives and hormones and various other bad things. Especially stay away from things like Salami, pepporoni and sausage.

You can find some decently healthy things to eat at Fast-food places such as Subway, Quiznos or Desert Moon.

Sushi can be made quickly. It is also often pre-made and is very healthy in general. There might be a small concern with mercury in some of the fish...especially the Tuna (just as there is in any canned tuna you buy at the grocery store), so if you're pregnant - stay away from sushi. Otherwise, once in a while - It's very healthy.

And Yogurt is another great thing to eat. Very healthy, easy to take with you, comes in a million flavors.

If you order rice at an asian place, the argument is similar to that with the bread. White rice = bad. It's mostly just sugar. Order Brown rice or wild rice. It's much healthier. Overall, most stuff that you find on the chinese menu that includes any sort of dough, noodles or meat is going to be UN-healthy. The vegetables will be great though.

Hope that helps! Enjoy!

Pack your lunch. Take the old type thermos and put a beverage in it. Make yourself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Take carrots that have been cleaned and along with that take a pear for dessert. That should hold you until you get home from work and fix yourself a nice meal.

I'm allergic to peanut butter, but my mom said that this was a healthy, fun lunch. Take celery sticks. In the curved ridges of the celery, put peanut butter. Eat up!Yumm!Add pudding and a piece of fruit. You could also do fruit salads.

You could eat a triple whopper with cheese bacon and extra mayo, king size fries, a milkshake and 2 apple pies or vanilla bean chessecakes. sometimes thats not enough so i go next door to dairy queen and buy a cone of ice cream or brownie blizzard.. damn this made me hungry again. I am going to order some extra cheese pizzas call me if you want to come over.

you should still be able to eat out just make sure what u r eating is grilled instead of fried, tuna that was packed in water is good....instead of bread go for melba toast or wraps....baked potatoes instead of french fries. but usually if you pack your own lunch u can ultimately decided what is best plus in the long run you save yourself lots of $$$$
