$100 a day is too little to watch a 1 year old. Since you are responsible for 24 hours, you are being paid $4 / hour. You should request $10 an hour for the waking hours, (usually 12 with a 1 year old) and $5 an hour when they are asleep. A full time caregiver for an elderly person gets more than that.

Ask for whatever you want. You watching this child 24/7. I say ask for it all up front.
My q is, why in the world would someone be willing to let a stranger watch thier child for 10 days???

First of all I can't believe they are leaving their child with someone they don't even know for 10 days. No offense to you of course, you may be a great person, but shame on them. Yes I would charge them the most I could. They are obviously desperate for a sitter.

Yeah I would not let them go cheap on you. If you know they got the goods. I mean that is their precious baby right? If they are not willing to spend a G. Well than you know that their money spent somewhere else is more important to them. Hope for you they dont know about this web page. Whats the odds, Right??

If you can get $100 a day, go for it. I hope you get it!
