After reading the question; Do you take time to think about what you are going to reply, or just write what comes to mind. Is it to help the person or to accumulate some points? Are you avoiding to ask questions because it will cost you some points?... Do you post questions in order to get a debate going?..Do you know the answer to the question you post?

I believe it would be interesting to read your replies. Comme on you guys...Be truthful... This is not a contest.!

Have a wonderful day wherever you are!

I honestly read each question and answer to my best ability. I try to help people with whatever their question is, because chances are they are looking for a real answer. I ask questions whenever I feel like I have something to ask, regardless of the fact that I will lose points. I do not post simply to get a debate going, although that is not always a bad thing. I simply am in search of an answer or an opinion.

Thanks for your very interesting question.

I only answer questions that I find interesting, that I know I can help (problems that I really do know about from personal experience) and I think I have some knowledge (information) about.

I don't answer questions just to accumulate points - I am very selective about the questions I answer. If I don't think I have something to add or to give - that's after I have read the answers other people have given, then I just won't repeat what everyone else is saying just to receive 2 points (what is 2 points to me anyhow now)?

As far as posting questions, I haven't posted that many. I just looked over my questions and basically, I asked questions for the following reasons: looking for support (not to feel alone in the world), practical information, looking for another perspective, and to learn from other people (many people on YA are very smart and have a lot to give).

As far as knowing the answer to the question I post, I may know how I feel about it, but I want to know what other people think and feel - what I think and feel is not enough, if it were enough, I wouldn't ask the question. We, human beings, need each other, we need to share what we are thinking and feeling, otherwise there would be no questions and answers.

Am I avoiding posting questions because it will cost me points? Well, I think long and hard about the question I will post because it does cost me points. I want to post questions that really mean something to me and are really important to me. I have a couple questions in my head that I may post, but first, I want to get it clear in my own mind how to ask them. It's important to put the question in the most clear, understanding way as possible in order to receive good and many answers. So, I want it to be worth the 5 points I spend, when I post my question.

As far as being truthful, if I cannot be truthful, I will not answer the question. I have never been good at lying, which I do very rarely anyway since I have no talent for it and I dislike it intensely.

All the best and take care, and keep those thought-provoking questions coming (this is the kind of question that requires introspection and helps us understand each other better).

BRAVO!

The first thing that comes to my mind happens when I'm scrolling through the questions. I really hope to find a good question that requires some intelligent thought & one that is being reasonable, not rude.

I try to think about my response & I do read carefully. I don't care how much time it takes me to actually hit send to get the answer out there for the questioner. So, that makes me a helper type & hopefully something I say is what the questioner is looking for.

I have only asked one question & the answers I received were very knowledgable and helpful. And I'm sure I'll ask more questions after I've decided what questions I want to pose.

I'm not the type to ask a question to get a debate going, unless it can be a reasonable debate. But I might well ask a question that I know the answer to in order to see what kind of responses I'd get.

I'll also admit that I try to follow the rules for kind, polite behavior....however, once in awhile.....I'll snark off when I see a question that causes my blood to boil. I don't game for points, but d***-it....in those cases, I'm happy to take two points, a hunk of hide, and bend my own rules of etiquette.

Have a super day yourself & thank you for asking a bold, honest question.

I think about what I am going to say as I type...I am a sloooow typist! I want to help the person (on serious questions) and just have fun (on the silly questions). I try to not be too heavy-handed (which can be hard on some questions - so many people out there asking about breeding dogs! I worked for a vet & know how many go homeless & get dumped later - so, I have to count to ten & tone it down). I ask questions freely, when something comes to mind. I like to see different points of view, and see how many share my preconceived notion. I mean, what good are these 'points' anyway? That and $1 will get me a McDonalds cheeseburger! Starting debate is good! People need to get shook out of their comfort zones from time to time.

There - I hope that covered it all!

Honestly, it depends on the question.

99% of the time, I will answer a question as honestly as I can. I try to answer questions to help the asker. Whether or not I've thought the answer through depends on the question - usually, I will write what comes to mind, since my answers tend to be my assessment of the situation, rather than anything overly academic.

That's 99% of the time. The other 1% of the time, I'll answer the questions like "who wants two points?" for the two points. :)

I usually think hard about which questions I answer. I chose ones to answer that I have knowledge of, or opinions about. I try to give info that will help the asker.

Sometimes, I admit that if I see a question I think is overly biased, stupid or rhetorical I will give a sarcastic response, but not usually.

I haven't posted a question yet because I haven't had any questions to post. Hope this helps!

It depends on the question. Sometimes I read the headline and come up with one answer, only to read the details and have to completely change it. Sometiems I read the details and decide not to change it because (a) it's more fun to answer just the headline or (b) the headline was a lure and the real question is inflammatory or spam. I spend more time on questions that seem to be thoughtful and/or seriously looking for advice.

after reading-I decide if I will give silly or honest answer. Not worried about points. And yes I ask questions. How can you learn about ppls ideas or thoughts? Yes I like to get a debate going, esp about the filth being spread by the fags & queers.
