hey guys i am 17 and i really like this 14 yr old boy. He's the first boy ive liked (younger than me) but he looks older, acts older, and when im with him i dont even notice that he's younger (after all we r both around the same age) I do know some girls who have fancied n been out with younger boys too and i know its not the best age but do you think he's absolutely too young for me?

You're in a sticky situation here, because the law is very clear about these things. Even if he is mature for his age, it's a no-no and could get you in trouble. Best to wait until you are both over 18!

I think that the age is an issue. But it is only 3 years. Down the road, it will seem like nothing. If you really like him then why not try it? It things are weird then you can always back out but what's wrong with just trying it? It really just depends on how you think you'll feel. Can you handle being with someone 3 years younger then you? If you think yes, then go for it. If you're thinking no, you should keep thinking it over. But if you think it will make you happy, give it a try.

Emmm...don't mean to be too judgemental, things like these happen often, but - remember what you were like at 14..? Well, despite what you have said about him, he's that age now; plus, scientifically proven that boys mature later than girls (no offence, guys). And, as many have said - bad idea: although I'm not sure about the specifications of the legal system in your country, but generally, you are legally treated differently than him because of your age. I advise you get a sensible boyfriend of 19.. Sensible being the operative word;)

too young! and i would say the same if it were a 17 yr old boy and a 14 yr old girl. they are 14, their mind is still developing, girls mature at a different rate than boys so i am suprised you even have anything in common, you say you are around the same age, but wake up, YOU AREN'T.

If you were 21 and he was 18 then I would say no he's not to young, but your talking about a 14 year old boy. Let him grow up and mature a before you jump into a relationship with him.

You are classed as an adult, this boy is a minor despite his older looks and how he acts.If you carry on with this relationship I'm afraid you will find yourself in very serious trouble. You may be put on the sex offenders register. This is so wierd, I have been in EXACTLY the same position before. I ended up going for it, but then broke it off with this guy cuz he was all "in love" and I started to think he was a dork. But now that I am 28, and he is 25, I saw his profile on MySpace and he is HOT, I mean smokin HOT, a Marine, and everything. Whoops, my bad!
