This is not even close to the first time this Q. has been asked....

Some of you say the real killer is man.. correct enough. But do you really think that such an obvious point was overlooked by the questioner???HMMM.....????

As for those who say that religion is the greatest of these that kill mankind, ha ha ha .....Open your eyes!!!!!

In the twentieth century more people died from starvation and disease that could have been prevented by simple drugs...if the wealthy of the world would have been willing to give up their money to buy the drugs, and supply the personnel to administer the medicine.
The problem is with us...WE IN THE WESTERN WORLD ARE TO SELFISH TO ACTUALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!

If you eat two or three times a day you can give up something to the poorest of the poor...but the likelihood is you won't.

Money can bring us joyful experiences, or be the curse upon our lives.....

I don't think it's the money, but I say your on the right track. I think that its GREED. If we didn't use money, but the barter system, so people still had things, then to get more things, people would be unfair in bartering. That's greed. Capitalism will bring us down, because people have no compassion for others these days, which happened more and more throughout time. Being selfish is no big deal anymore.

I think it runs a close second to religion. Think of how many people have been killed in the name of God, from the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition to modern terrorists. And the quote isn't money is the root of all evil--it's "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil." That's a little more appropriate.

I agree with you that money drives all human action.

But please allow me to ask this question.

What happens without money?

Money feeds those who are hungry.

Money heals those who are sick.

Money builds homes for those who need shelter.

Money protects those who need comfort.

If I ruled this world I would make money serve all
the needs of every human soul.

What would you do if you ruled this world.

I have seen the light of a 1000 stars,
but none so bright as the light within!

No, money isn't the route of all evil.
Lack of compassion and lack of love creates evil
in the heart of humans.

I once heard of a security guard who was killed when a sack of coins fell on him a few years back....

Other than that I haven't heard of too many other people being killed by money...
