If this "old friend" doesn't know her last name, what makes him/her so sure she had your brother's child? Why do you believe this after all this time, without any other evidence? It could just be a fabrication. If you can't find out her last name, and you don't know where she is, you're going to have a tough time. Was she in school with your brother? Would you recognize her picture? Maybe a yearbook?
