I read all these answers that people give and they are all wrong.... and the answer is yes ,, you will lose weight faster if you don't eat many calories .... but you are likely to gain back the weight more easily .... and yo-yo dieting can increase cchances of dying of heart disease by 70%...... so just eat healthier ... try to evade grease , fried ,, and a lot of bad foods and start exercising and you will lose weight the healthy way GOOD LUCK

No when I did a low calorie diet I got to a point where the scale did not budge and I did exercise 4 days a week and I am very active anyway. I gained 60 pounds with my pregnancy and the baby is turning one on Thursday and I still have to lose 20 pounds so now I am low carbing and I lost 7 pounds in 7 days and I feel great. I am eating chicken, fish, some eggs and cheese. I have a salad with low carb dressing every day. My cravings have all gone away and I feel good so I think I will soon be back in my pre-pregnancy jeans and I will stick with this.

The only way to loose weight is to reduce the total number of calories you consume. Everything else is bunk. You can increase the speed at which you loose weight by combining a lower caloried regimine with exercise. A healthy weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds per week.
Check out weight watchers. You get to eat what you like, butter, steak, bacon, ice cream, cheese, you just have to learn portion control....

My wife lost 120 Lbs. & for me 70 Lbs. We walked about 2 miles a day we started out for about 20 minutes & gradually increased walking each day. We consumed 10 calories per Lb & watched our fat content. We also never ate anything after seven PM. It took us about 8 months. We also did stretching & lifted light weights daily for 40 minutes. Good luck
