Fat is a nutrient that is necessary for health. Fat performs a number of essential functions in the body. For these reasons a fat-free diet is not recommended.

You need at least 10 to 20 percent of your overall calories as fat, but no more than 30%.

1600 cals/day: min=16g, max =53g
1,800 min=18, max=60
2,000 min=20, max=67
2,100 min=21, max=70
2,200 min=22, max=73

I would add to the last posting that along with 20-30% of your daily calories from fat, you should aim to get most of those from polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats - those types of fats will remain liquid at room temp and come from healthy sources such as nuts, olives, & avocados. Avoid saturated fats and trans fats!
