I have soon-to-be 9 month old twins and I bathe them 2-3 times a week. They don't get all that dirty and I wipe them down every morning so they aren't stinky. My son has eczema and the baths were tough on his poor little skin. I use the Aveeno baby wash and lotion on him when it gets bad. When they were first born I was told not to bathe them more than once a week for the first couple of months. As they get older and get dirtier each day I will work in daily or every other day baths, but any parent with multiples knows how crazy it can get!!
Bath time should be fun and not crazy rushed so until I can ensure that they have a fun time in the water and not just 2 minutes of scrub down it's 2-3 times a week of quality tubby time for me!!

that is so not true, here's why
1. bath relaxes the baby, gives hima sense of calmness
2. It cleanses skin pores
3. Gets the skin toxin free
4. As long as you use baby products, which are softer to the skins that the ones adults use, baby will be fine.
5. Always bath him in a closed room, where there is no air currents
6. Bath him quickly, babies get cooler very fast
7. Bath is the best way to get rid of fever

Hope this helps

Good luck

Never heard of not bathing them everyday, but don't use soap everyday. Unless your baby has sensitive skin, then don't do it everyday. Water does dry out the skin.

Nonsense! I bathed my baby everyday. All you need to do to ensure your baby skin doesn't loses it's natural oil is just to add a little touch of olive oil to the bath water. It's the closest oil to the one found naturally in the skin. Also for newborn you don't need to use soap. Just pure water to bathe them. By the time your baby is about 3 mths you can start using baking soda. It keeps their skin pretty and as mentioned before whenever you want to moisten the skin just add the olive oil to the bath water. It worked for me and still does!

ummm i beleive the best choice is to ask your sons doctor. He would know what is best because every baby is diffrent. I bathed my son every other day intil he was about three months old and started moving around more and actully needed baths everyday./ babys skin can get dried out if bathed too often but agian every child is diffrent

I didn't give my daughter a bath every day when she was first born. I used those Johnson's washcloths that you just wet them and they already have soap on them. Wipe the baby down with that because when they are newborn your not supposed to put them in water until their belly buttom falls off and heals up because it can get infected. Use one of the oatmeal lotions or one of the smell good baby lotions just test it out first on a small area of baby to make sure he/she isn't allergic. Also remember when it comes time to start giving your baby a bath in baby tub be prepared to have to change the water because about 98% of the time when you put them in the water they are going to pee.

My doctor always told me with both of my daughters that as long as you keep the diaper area clean, there is no reason to bathe an infant everyday. It's very tough on their skin.

I've never heard of that/ I bathed my every morning.. well sponge bath until naval healed.

They make several products to prevent dry skin. I always put Johnson's Baby Magic lotion on them.

They feel better, smell better, and this prevents diaper rash.

Ask your pedi. Dr.

actually you shouldnt bath your child everyday. every human has a protective layer of skin cells and if you were to wash with a soap ever yday your child would get sick easier if you wanted to just put your baby in a water bath and no soap that would be fine.
