I want to drop one of my courses this semester, which would change me from a full time student to a part time student. Would that matter for my financial aid?

It has already been paid to the school.

Check with the financial aid office to make sure, but I believe you can drop the class and still be considered full time for financial aid, as long as you remain full time for next semester.

You should always double check with your financial aid advisor for any questions you have about financial aid but I would so no it would not affect the aid you are receiving if everything has been paid.

You might want to watch your attempted hours though. I think most schools require you to make actual grades for 66% of attempted hours to become eligible for aid.

Call up your financial aid office and ask. Typically, no it will not since the school has already been paid. I've dropped plently of classes and my fin aid was still good to go.
