There are real psychics in the world and no, they are not evil, demon possessed or deluding themselves and others. Seems that the extremists on either end of the religious spectrum react violently to psychics. Why is that?

Well, extremism is extremism.
I guess that in a sense psychics are a unifying force since they manage to bring such different groups together. It's not so surprising, really, when you think of it, since psychics mediate, don't they?

CA..:I feel sorry for those whose minds are so closed or formed that they have already determined that Christians, psychics or any number of other organizations or faiths (how about doctors?) are full of it. Do the research before calling anyone anything!!! Know what you are speaking about before you share an opinion. You have no right to judge or dismiss any ones belief system. True I also agree that psychics are users of the needy. NOT for the same reasons you do however. I am one of those Christians some of you so callously degrade. I do have one thing above you however. I HAVE READ AND STUDIED the bible and have made what I feel to be an EDUCATED decision. Not someone elses views or words. No one can call me a hypocrite!!! I know what Jesus did for me and why he had to do it. I know that God is a Loving, Kind, Merciful,Forgiving Father. I wish you did too. Just because you Don't, doesn't mean you have to slam me. I am still basically the same as you!!!

I've not heard of violent reactions... I guess I'm not on the extremist side since I only see most psychics as fakes and don't "react violently"... Any that are real I feel they are just people with a very keen intuition.
Most probably see these people as fakes out to rob people, and there are many people that ARE like that, so that may be why people view them as they do. People have a normal ill view of those they feel take advantage of others. And the religious, I can only guess they see it as evil and freak out over it...or likewise see it as fake thieves.

Man of days gone by heard voices of inspiring messages and it was the voice of God. I hear and repeat inspiring messages and I am dabbling with evil spirits.
The next is for those that always make wild assumption about psychics....
I can assure many of you that I am far from being an evil entity. I have no associations with your Demons or Satan. They are your Deities and you may keep them. I have my own religious beliefs.
I should also add, I do not take a dime for my gift. It is a gift and I use it as such.

I am a little psychic myself, and am an atheist as well. I don't go around claiming to be psychic wherever I go, because I know it sounds like sillyness to most people. Last Friday my son wanted to watch music videos before school, it was hip-hop crap that I'm not into at all. I said out loud and with a little gusto "I DO not want to watch that this morning" as soon as the words left my mouth, the power went out. We sat in silence for a minute, kinda spooked, then I said "I didn't want the power to go out" at about the same level of volume. Again, instantly the power came back on. It was sooooooooo weird. My husband had the most scared look on his face, and he said "can I get you anything?" and we laughed about it until I had to leave for work. But, things like that don't happen too often and I don't practice to hone any natural talent I may have into anything useful.
Anyways, to answer your question, xians hate psychics because of the bible, it says that they are bad. And most atheists and other people who are realists reject psychics because many have been proven to be fakes, and real ones are rare, but it depends on what the individual psychic is claiming to be able to do. I don't make any claims to be able to do anything, things just happen sometimes.

Because they are scam artists. There are no real psychics. I don't think they are demons or possessed, though quite a few are evil as they take advantage of the weak minded. However, I feel the same way about Christians.

people are scared of people who tell the truth.
especially when they don't like the outcome.
you would think that if a person who was psychic tried to warn u of something, and they are truly saying this to help u, people would listen but no, they go to the fakes who charge them money to be lied to and they like that.
then they go around saying they got ripped off by a fake.
i won't say i'm psychic but let's just say i'm sensitive, and i do know for a fact that psychic abilities are real, and that we all have them, we all just don't know how to use them.
i try to help people all the time and i do not charge money or ask for any favors in return.
most of the time it is just common sense, lol.
but people are ignorant and stupid and even delusional so u can't help people like that, they have to be willing to listen first.

Not one "psychic" has ever made a concrete prediction that has been proven right. The spew a pile of drivel and then claim after the fact, "Well, this means this, and that means that, and blah blah blah, so I was right!"
Remember the dead West Virginia coal miners who died in the mine? Sylvia Browne said they were alive *after* they had already died in the mine. If she's so knowledgeable, how come she got this wrong? If you say, "She won't be right all the time," then what good is she? She's not even right half the time; Browne has less accuracy than a coin flip.
Only psychotics believe in psychics.

They follow the teachings of Paul. When Paul was walking in some town one day, a psychic came up to the apostles and started screaming "These come in the name of the Most High!!" and so Paul then took it upon himself to remove the pyschic powers from her.
