I think that he needs time. Who knows, he could be out looking for an engagement ring as we speak. I would broach the idea with him and see what happens. If you two have already talked about marriage and you've also bought a house together, chances are he's thought about it and will propose sometime soon. Go with the flow, there's no need to worry about it.
My fiance and I were together for about a year or so before we moved in together, we'd talked about marriage and kids too. about a year later, he proposed...right after our two year anniversary. The same thing's prolly happening to you!

Well, you might as well be married, you own real estate together. Getting out of the relationship now is going to be tricky at best, due to the community property. That's why I wouldn't have bought property before a firm commitment of marriage. Tell him how you feel and you want that commitment. Good luck to you both.

I know that getting married and having a family is every girls dream, but don't rush it! My best friend got married 7 months after her engagement (her engagement was after only 4 months of dating). She is now wanting to get her marriage annulled. They fight all the time, and he has become a different person she says. You can't really know someone fully after a year. It will happen when you least expect it and it will be great.

you should not have bought a house before getting married.

Propose to him. There's nothing wrong with the woman being the one to propose. Then you'll know for sure.

I suggest asking him what he thinks about it first.
