I went to college there and I got the PELL grant and student loans. My sister fell into certain catagories and also received grants, these were from private people or organizations that said you needed to meet a certain criteria. You advisors shoould help you. They have the big cosmetology school in Minneapolis, it is on Central Avenue. They should have all types of information for you. A few I was there to have my hair done and the students I had cut it were from the Soviet Union. It used to be called Horst School, it has changed now, but it is easy to find. Just across the river from downtown Minneapolis. When you walk past you see the manicure and pedicure section. If they can not help you with grants in the state I don't know who else could. There is also a good barber school on I believe Hennepin or Nicolett going south from the downtown a few blocks. Theey could help also.
