The coming of Romania and Bulgaria to full EU membership brings with it the possibilty for two of the poorest European countries to send it's citizens to a few of the only open member countries, at present the UK is the only major country with no restrictions. Surely we shuld actnow before the floodgates open.

If you are concerned, then I am sure your politicans are too. There are a lot of factors I would imagine, like your labour and healthcare situation to name a few. Then again there is the power of the voting booth or the demonstrations that you Brits are so famous for.
On the other hand, you could have have some sympathy. Step back and take a good look at your past history. Remember the Great British Empire? Britian ruled the waves, etc. etc. Maybe for all that colonializing, you now must pay the price.

I believe that every country should have the same guidlines for immigrants. As for the UK banning immigrants from coming into their country think about it this way if you had a rough life in your country and you want to move into another country do you think you should be judged because of where you were born and not be allowed a chance for a better life?

I think immigration should end on a world wide basis. The only reason one should be allowed to move to another country is if their employer can vouch for the need to relocate them. It's ridiculous for these people to flee their wretched country instead of trying to do something to improve it.
