Great question.

Fortunately for me, I married a wonderful guy and don't have that problem...

He was the perfect gentleman, but I knew after the very first date that he was ready to settle down and get married and I did not want to marry him. Although it hurt him, as he asked me out right then, I said no and told him exactly why. Later, he came to one of my comedy shows with his new girlfriend. She was beautifull and they got married shortly after and have a baby now. I am so happy for him! He was a terrific guy and I knew I did not want him, at least not at that time in my life. Imagine if I had continued to see him and just use him because he was so kind and generous? I would have prevented him from finding his wife! It was a little hard to see him with someone else. I knew he was a great catch, but whatever it was about him I knew I wasn't going to stay with him forever, so I turned down a second date.

I wish that men would do this favor to women. I have had several boyfriends keep me on the line until I finally dumped them for bad behavior. If any men are reading this-do yourself and your woman a favor. If you do not want her, let her go! Women have to turn down men all the time because they just arent' interested in them. If a man tells me he is sorry, but he just doesn't want to see me any more and he has no real explanation, I UNDERSTAND. It hurts, yes, but at least I know where I stand. If a man tells me he isn't in love with me or does not intend to marry me, I am extremely disappointed, but not near as upset as I would be if he wasted my time for another year with no intention of marrying me!

Don't be selfish and don't be a coward. If you don't want someone, don't see them anymore and TELL them you are leaving.

I have a lot of deal-breakers.

I don't like it when guys have bad manners, all around:

-Rude to the waitstaff, ushers, etc.
-Chewed with his mouth open.
-Talked on his cell phone the entire time.
-Made sexist/racist/etc. comments.
-Spit!
-Interuppted repeatedly.
-I can think of a lot.

Also, if there was no chemistry, I don't want to lead him on. He'd be quick to drop me, so I'd at least do him that courtesy.

He talked about money money money and how much he had and tried to show off by taking me to a VERY VERY expensive resturant for a first date (kind of resturant people go to for birthdays/aniversaries)... not impressed. And he wasn't physically attractive.

It's all about chemistry, either you have it or you don't. I have gone out on plenty of first dates and have declined second dates. It's nothing personal, sometimes people just don't click.
