You have to increase cardiovascular activity like walking, bike riding and running. Something that makes you sweat but not really weight lifting. Weight lifting will make you heavier even though you make be looking thinner because muscle weighs more than fat. If you eat things like cabbage... that will also help in losing weight because it's cellulose. Cellulose takes more calories to digest than it gives off hence you end up burning more calories than you consume. If you have a sweat suit... you can use it to shed a ton of water weight from your body. Stay away from a lot of sugar and things with lots of carbohydrates like pasta and rice. Everything you eat should be lean. Take vitamins to substitute for the ones you don't get from the food you are eating to keep you healthy. They have orange juice now that contains vitamin D and calcium for your bones so you don't have to drink milk with the extra fat. Hope this helps.

The generic/cliche' answer is to exercises and diet; however, no one really goes into more detail than that.
What you need to do is start eating smaller meals three times a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and two small snacks between each meal (an apple, low-fat crackers, etc.) Eating 5 small meals a day is better than three big meals a day because the three big meals has more time to just sit in your stomach. By eating 5 small meals you are keeping your metabolism running effectively through out the day instead of just for a few hours at a time.
In addition to dieting, you need to work out at least 3 to 4 times a week with a mix of cardio and weightlifting. Start your exercise by jogging or biking and then do light lifting...you find different exercises on line.
If you want the quick and expensive way to lose weight, you can go see your local plastic surgeon; but you will still need to exercises to keep that figure.

Vitamins are important as well as carbs, do not cut these out all together here is why: Thiamine (vitamin B1) metabolizes carbohydrates into healthy usable sugar which gives you energy to exercise, and helps you body to function, your brain thrives for oxygen and sugar. There is a reason that your body need 40 vitamins and minerals each day to remain healthy, each on is important for different areas and needs of the body. True sugars found in candy soda and things like this are unhealthy. Understand though that there are many different types of sugars (Fructose, Dextrose, Glucose Etc.). It is also important to keep your metabolism up and steady by eating usable foods regularly.

Hi KT, I have a recipe for Garden Vegetable soup.

You can't live solely on it, make sure you eat some protein and fruits as well....

You can lose up to 3-4 lbs a week. You do get sick of the soup, but it's a start:

2/3 cups sliced arrots
1/2 cup diced onion
2 garlic gloves minced
3 cups of fat free broth - (can you get this in the soup isle at Dominon) - chicken or vegetable
1 1/2 cups diced green cabbage
1/2 cup green beans
1 tablespoon tomatoe paste
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teasoon salt
1/2 cup diced zuchinni

In a large saucepan sprayed with nonstick coking spray, saute the carrot, onion and gralic over low heat and soften about 5 mins.

2. Add broth, cabage, beans, tomatoe past, basil oregano and salt bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer, covered about 15 mins or until beans are tender.

3. Stir in zuchinni and heat 3-45 mins. Serve hot.

also, increase your exercise...Good luck

Stop drinking soda. Drink A LOT of water to flush out your body regularily... at least 8 glasses. Do not snack on junk food, but don't cut out snacks. Instead, have an apple or other fruit to not make you "starving" so that when you do eat, you don't over eat.

Watch your sodium intake, as well as calories and fats. And exercise, even a little. It would be ideal if you could start working out, but if you don't want to, at least make small efforts. Go on short walks, park in the back of the parking lot at the store so you have to walk farther, do chores around the house more to be active... etc...

Well that pretty easy. Watch your calorie intake. I know it's a pain in the butt but it works. Also drink lots of water. Take walks and when you do take a bottle of half frozen water...let me explain what forzen water does that room temp or plain cold water won't do...
your bodies normal temp is about 98.6 right! When you walk your temp tends to rise a bit and when you drink this cold cold water your body temp drops...in order to bring your temp up your body burns calories and fat. Trust me this works. You must walk when doing this. This won't work if you just sit drinking water. This helped me lose 40 pounds in 2 months. I know it sounds like a long time but I didn't get to walk as much as I would have liked. I went from 170 to 130. Exercise as well. Hope this helps or I hope someone can assist you more.

lose...

eat fresh veggies, fruits. drink your water. stay away from junk food of all kinds even that diet food crap that's packaged. (all of that is a scam) stay away from sodas... artificially flavored drinks and foods. don't take out or delivery.

get on a bike, walk, walk, walk, do some toe touches...

eat more cereal, not that cocoa puffs now, something like wheaties, raisin bran... use soymilk (silk) instead of regular milk .

that should hump down the weight considerably in one month by 15lbs. and keep it off if you behave yourself.

remember it's not the fats, carbs or anything like that it's the calories that make you fat.

don't let gimmicks get you caught in a frail, diet starved body then when you eat something real you put on double the weight then you're really stuck!

stay with the real things.

Eat healthily three times a day, ignore junk food. There are loads of websites that give advice on healthy eating. AND exercise, 30 minutes at least three times a week. And don't give up, you have to be patient to lose weight.

Besides having a lung removed, or a leg chopped off I would say do a lot of walking and start lifting some weights. Read up on excercising properly and consult a physician if you are of ill health or have any special health concerns before you start any rigorous excercise routine.
