Two of my daughters were married two years ago, 4 months apart. They did everything as a couple at the weddings. They both led everything off and circulated and enjoyed themselves. I had one of son in laws tell me " I was only doing this for Melissa. I didn't think I wanted it. Until I stood up there at the altar. Then I realized it was for BOTH of us." It is all in the attitude. It is your choice to be involved or a bug on the wall. Just remember it is not a competition - but the first of many bright and happy memories. Enjoy the day together.

I had a pal who did this very element. i think of it makes a great style of expertise. i comprehend a great style of folk prefer to have the vast formal reception yet rather that's approximately being with friends and relatives and having a good time, no longer approximately being in a fancy place. Plus, maximum folk do no longer even like the dry chicken or undesirable best rib they serve at wedding ceremony dinners besides. Why go right into a ton of debt for one little party, why no longer have a exciting outdoor party and shop the money on your place or something. you should merely do ordereves and set them out on tables. in case you wanted to have foodstuff you should even have it catered by an area eating place or perchance a browns chicken or something like that, it would nonetheless be lots greater inexpensive than at a reception corridor. As for alcohol...get some kegs, some buckets of distinctive bottled beers, and a gaggle of bottles of no longer undemanding liquor and set all of them out on a table. in case you wanted a bartender i'm particular you have a nephew or cousin or something who does no longer ideas manning the bar and combining some drinks. optimistically you have a great time. Definatley elect the tents incase it rains. My friends party became a blast and all and sundry enjoyed it. in case you have any questions approximately anyting she did shoot me an e mail and ask.

Not really sure what you mean, but think about it...She's been planning this event anywhere from 6 weeks to 2 years. She's excited, emotional, and hopefully, happy on one of the most important days of her life. She's been envisioning this longer than most people would imagine. She wants everyone to be as happy in her moment as she is. It's not an ego thing (in most cases). Try to grin and bear it, and have a good time.

Because it is the bride's day!! Most guys don't care one way or the other, but the bride has been dreaming of that day her whole life - or some crap like that!

What do you want her to do stand in a corner and mope? I'm getting married next year and my first estimate is 5grand, and I think its just going to go up. so on the big day I intend to have a whale of a time because I'm not getting that money back.

It's her daddy's money. And it's typically considered to be "her" day (the groom is usually just an incidental fixture by this point in the proceedings).
