they gave me a 30 pills at .5 mg....she said that if I come in after a month and need more, that I need to take another pill as well. I told the doc I don't want to go back on zoloft or anything, but just want to rely on taking the lorazepam when I need it. I suffer from anxiety, and it really helps. She said if I use it all within a month and need more, than she wants to put me on something else (like zoloft) and I've found I've been needing to use it twice a day. So what do I tell her so that I can continue using the 2 low doses a day......but she won't think I'm a drug addict (I'm not) or that I need something else?

Tell the doc the truth or she can't help you. Afterall, SHE is the one that went through medical school!

Tell your doctor! There are so many other drugs out there that might work for you that only require once a day dose. Better to take a pill for the rest of your life that to suffer with anxiety. I to suffer from it and take a Paxil everyday. This has helped me. ALWAYS better to honest with your doctor. Remember you can always change doctors if you are not happy. Don't let anxiety rule you....take action.

Good luck.

have you been tested for diseases that effect how the brain chemistry works? i would! depression does not appear on it's own...something ALWAYS causes it....panic attacks are sometimes related to organs in the body not being able to filter the toxins out of the body.

viral diseases (bacterial as well) do pass the blood brain barrier.
if you have a disease that attacks say, the liver, the toxins as well enter the brain.

good ones to test for are lyme disease, hcv, hbv, epstein barr and many others.

if i were you i would stay clear of the lorazempam because many become addicted...there is a much safer drug out there with no ill side effects and that is buspar....(it is non addicting)

good luck!

best wishes!

Lorazepam and ALL benzodiazepams are hightly addicitve, bith mentally and physically. I had that problem with valium, and it was a bugger getting off the stuff. You need to follow what your doctor says. She has only your best interests in mind.

even with the reality that it rather is in no way stable to take anti-rigidity drugs with alcohol, you may desire to constantly bypass the Ativan and have some beverages. IMHO, i think of alcohol is extra useful than Ativan in that concern. in simple terms determine you have a trip considerable different in the two case.
