I was talking to a friend today, and he was talking about predictions for the future and arrmageddon in 2006. im now really worried, cos i suffer from mental health problems, please answer sensibly. Are there any people on answers, who are like psycic, that can tell me that we will reach 2007, and is this arrmageddon buisness a load of rubbish?

You say he is a friend, I would say he is not.
Apparently this guy enjoys making you worry, and I guess he has a need to feel superior by taking advantage of your illness.
This Friend is an idiot. Many idiots pass themselves off as psychic. While some possess an uncanny ability, none can predict the future accurately or with any consistency

I have been freaked out by someone telling me that Armageddon was coming very soon (ie within a couple of years), and that was 10 years ago and it did not happen so now I ignore people like that. I am not psychic, but 2007 is going to happen I am sure.

Take every day as it comes. I do think its a load of crap! If there are people out there who are psycic why didnt they tell us about all the bad things that are happing to the world xx

You would have to be nutty to believe in Armageddon. Bad times there may be, but we are a long way to the end of the world.
Don't you know the Catch22 rule? Someone who is mad doesn't know they are mad, therefore is you think you are mad you have just proved that you are sane. It's a mad mad mad world.
Don't say that you are nutty because that way you come to believe it. You sound like a sweet person to me. Most people with mental health problems do get over them eventually, I did. So stick with it. Don't let anyone put you down.

I'm not psychic.. but whether your friend is true or not don't let it bother you.. Armageddon these days will be quick and painless.
However, the possibility is incredibly small.
Again, you mention you have mental health problems: you should be living today for today, things like this will just mess your mind even more.

When I was 17 my mother left to a place of safety because Armageddon was here. That was in 1976. I know a couple who sold their house and gave the money away (like that was going to help) for the same reason. And they did it again.
Religious nuts seem to have this date every couple of years. They convince themselves of this and do desperate things to buy God's love. Please pay no attention. Especially if you are vulnerable. I realised at 17 they were crazy and you can too.

I'm not psychic, no-one is, it's a load of twaddle. But I must admit I do feel slightly uneasy about the development of nuclear weapons in the Middle East and the growing culture of religious extremism there and in North America.

If you really do suffer from mental health problems, why don't you talk about this with your counsellor and stop listening to your friend. Nobody know's what's around the corner. You can't live your life in fear.

His ''predictions'' are what he is into and if he was any kind of friend and knew you have mental health problems,then id seriously have a word with him. Just ask him to THINK b4 he rattles his cage. Well the date is only known to God. No one knows when it will be.
People have been predicting the end of the world for a millenia. I wouldnt concern yourself too much with what s/he had to say.
