hi, My brother was in a serious accident and broke his neck in three places. He is a single father of two children.
He connot not work at this time and has no icome coming in. He also has no health insurance to cover his expenses. We are putting on a Benefit for him, but don't know much about them. Anyone out there that can help? Need donations and such, but don't know where to start. We have done a flyer with his picture and are having an event at a club with dinner. We just need cash and prizes and don't know how to go about getting them. Thanks, Mellanie

you can go to local places in your area and ask them if they would be willing to donate food prizes DJ etc also ask the place you are having it at would they donate the room then sell tickets to the benefit chances to win prizes that were donated such as hair cuts food cert or what ever any one would donate hope this is helpful to you

get the word out! tell your friends and extended family have everyone bring a dish and charge x amount of money per plate.
make flyers (they do not have to be big ones) that you can put on car windshields) always ask the business owner if its okay first, chances are they will not mind and it will also help in getting the word out.
not only is this a good way to raise money, but you will find out that people will donate their time too, to help out!
