Well it's as valid as teaching any other mythology in science class. Which is to say; it's not.
No form of mythology or fantasy deserves to be taught in an actual class.

No, it's not. It is an assertion based on a religious preconception. It makes no predictions, cannot be tested or observed, and has no criteria for detection. It is no more a "theory" than the concept of "Intelligent Falling".

I've always wondered being that Islam is big in the news, how would you teach so-called intelligent design to Muslims? At least the evolution theory is more palatable then the intelligent design concept.

if it's a scientific theory that could be proved by scientific methods, than why not.
I think it's superstitious hogwash
