I smoke marijuana sometimes but i only do it outside. I live in a big house with my parents and in my room there is a window, the problem is the marijuana i smoke smells a lot because is very strong, im afraid that iven if i close the dor and smoke near the window they will smell it outside my room, i don't mind if my room smells and i know it will, but how can i avoid the smell going outside my room when i smoke?

I know what your talking about...i live in a big house too with my parents and our rooms are on opposite side of the house, but I always get paranoid. This is the best advice I can give you for smoking weed in the house:
#1: Towel the door. Placing a towel in the crack of the door will prevent the smoke from entering hallway.
#2: Blow the smoke out of a spoof (toilet roll full of dry cleaner sheets)
#3: Burning incense.
#4: Lots of fans blowing out the window
#5: Only do it late at night when your parents are going to sleep, the smell will be out in the morning.

OK it is really funny how this person asked a simple question and so many people try to tell 'em what to do!!! It is there choice to smoke so let 'em smoke! I am sure alot of you have a bad habit or two that people get on you about, so don't get on another person what they do. None of us are saints!!! That's right, none of US!
As for getting rid of the smell, nothing really works. Best bet is to just have clothes set aside that you do not mind smelling like weed and keep those from the other ones. Plus the tips you got from Rosemarie B, they just water it down so it not so bad. Her answer I think is the best so far. I would give the best answer to her. The towel under the door though, dampen it. That way the towel absorbs the smell instead of just blocking it.

Unless you seal the door with duct tape all round the smell will go into the house, even then there are the heating ducts! Smoke outside if you don't want the smell in the house. It is a very strong odour that is persistent and lingering.

keep smoking outside... or better yet don't do it at all if you're so worried about the smell being detected. The smoke will get into your clothes and follow you around anyway.

steam is the best way mate, if you cant get steam in your room smoke that weed in the bathroom. run a really hot bath and smoke away, because the steam is heavier than the smoke, it forces it out. smoke on

I lived with an idiot brother who smoked weed. He thought we were all stupid enough that his air fresheners in his room and his car covered it up, or that incense would cover it up. Listen, NOTHING covers it up. It stinks in your clothes, in your hair, and those of us who don't get high, we can smell it ALL OVER YOU no matter how badly you try to cover it up.

Look for Ozium. Its a spray you can find that eliminates smoke odors very well. I can always find it at carwashes.
