It's OK. The Church has been stealing from humanity for thousands of years. Did you know that the Catholic Church is the worlds richest corporation - IN THE WORLD. And by the way - they don't pay taxes.
I think your dream suggests you may feel this way and your stealing from the pot is kind of a mark of the rebel in you.
Good suggestion: Do not put in the pot and make your donations directly to the organizations you want to help.
Ever wonder why the church is always taking and you are never seeing results with church grouos in trouble.
POINT - the church spent millions on legal fees to help defend and deny and squash priest molestation cases instead of taking half that money and devoting it to programs to help theraputicize the priests involved.

The Church got it under false pretenses so even if this is more than a dream - you cannot be charged with taking what the church - in effect - stole.

Go back to sleep and, dream about putting the money back....
Seriously though...Dreams are often filled with symbolic messages about your inner thoughts. Your dream about stealing money, laying on a table in full view at the church, may simply indicate your desire to 'have' something of spiritual value you feel is 'there' and 'obtainable' yet, it is taking too long for you to receive it.
The pile of money, may represent the 'abundance' of 'spiritual wealth' you perceive as existing outside of your-self and in the hands of others...you may be anxious to share in that wealth and feeling impatient in receiving your share of it.

I had a dream you then spent the money on me. We shacked up for the Labor Day weekend at Motel 6.

Maybe you are feeling a sense of being untrue to your faith. I would say this is symbolic of guilt and ambivalence toward the church.
Perhaps it's time to re-examine your motives for involvement and spend time considering the good that you are or can be doing.
I'll bet there is a religious leader who can counsel you in this.
Good Luck.

So? As long as you didn't actually steal money from the church and aren't thinking about doing it, I don't see the problem here.

Have you been receiving communion while not in the state of Grace or unworthily? There is some way that you are stealing from the church. Have you been withholding your tithe?
God bless you,

Shouldn't let it worry you. The churches have been stealing money from the rest of us for centuries.
