Christians, you accepted a new Testament and give it authority over the Old Testament. Mormons are not different. Why not accept the LDS Testament?

Don't drink hot drinks... I guess Peter had it wrong in the NT as far as "no food or drink sanctioning".

Racism in LDS...fluxing and flexing cardinal doctrines?? The list goes on and on regarding the flimsy foundation of Mormons.

A very good question. After all, there is as much evidence supporting Smith as there is Christianity or any other religious faith. The fact that there is actually evidence against the LDS claims is as thoroughly ignored as evidence against the Christian or Muslim faiths.

All it takes is faith...

BTW: The Mormon underwear is for worship purposes not as normal wear. It's also usually optional. Though I am not Mormon, my dad was.

Not my faith, Do not care for the "Other Testament" but I have nothing against them and am not saying they are not Christians. I do not know enough about them to make that judgment. If they say they are I take their word for it.

Because I don't believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I don't believe that we have to be sealed in a temple to be together for "time and all eternity". I don't believe that women should be treated as second class citizens (boys go on a mission at 18 yrs of age but girls have to wait until they're 21 and note the differences between the Priesthood and the Relief Society). I don't believe in sending young people out into the world to be ridiculed and humiliated. I don't believe in hypocrisy (but that pertains to most religions). I don't believe in baptism for the dead. We make our choices in THIS life and have to deal with the consequences in the next one. I don't believe in having "secret names" (you get these when you're sealed in the temple). I could keep going but I think you have an idea of why I'm no longer LDS.

Because as Christians, we believe that the Bible is the foundation of our faith. We believe it is God-inspired. We don't believe that God gave us Scripture then years later said - oh wait, let me change things a bit, tell you some different thing thru Joseph Smith or the book of mormon or any of the nonsense Mormons believe.

Research the mormon religion, the fact they will all become gods one day and have their own planet and it goes on.

Well, I've got cousins who are Mormon, and I've heard rumors about special underwear you have to wear once you're married. I don't have any details, but I get the feeling that they're not along the lines of Victoria's Secret.

Because I don't want to go to hell. I am a gentile save by the grace of God because the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins. Why would I want to be in the tribe of Ephraim an be worship idols? Hosea 4: 17 Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone. The tribe of Ephraim don't go into the kingdom because they have been cut off. (Revelation Chapter 7). In fact the whole Nation of Israel has been blinded. Why would I want to be part of a blind Nation? Romans 11: 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. God is not the father of all men and all men are not going to be saved. John 8: 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. You may think you are going to be a god someday but they don't have gods in hell. Only the ones that have trusted in what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross will be in God's heaven.

EXACTLY! Why wouldn't a person want to become like our Heavenly Father and be with their family FOREVER? I don't understand why people would give that chance up...
Why is it so impossible for people to believe we have a Father in heaven who loves us??? And that He is our actual FATHER?
By the way, nice question, but you realize you will mostly get answers you don't want...

Why don't Mormons read Swedenborg? Lots of his doctrine was stolen by Joe Smith anyway like marriage in heaven, the celestial and spiritual kingdom and the three heavens being the celestial, spiritual and natural (only Joe switched up the names a little).

The Bible tells us that there would be no new public revelation, no new prophets. So, the Book of Mormom would contradict the Bible.

Besides that, science debunks one of the basic precepts of Mormons. Joseph Smith claimed that the Israelites came to America and that today's Indians are their descendents. DNA evidence debunks Smiths claims. It just doesn't sound like a church founded on the Truth.
