Are you litterally born of God & have His DNA within you?
1 John 3:9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, & he can't keep on sinning because he has been born of God.
Peter 1:23 For you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is through the living and abiding word of God.

Sheema3, According to the Christian faith, to become a child of God is to be born of the spirit. God gives the Spirit of Truth & Comfort to every believer in Him.

I believe it is a reference to the Spirit, because it also says "God is Spirit."

Being "born again" is turning to hypocrisy out of fear and regret. I'm a "born again" anarchist, because that's how we are naturally born in the first place, free of the restrictions and prejudice that come by vicious influence.
I think it takes a really small mind to perceive God as something so inferior that it actually has something such as a DNA or any human physical characteristics! It seems ridiculous to me. But hey, that's just me. To each his own.
I think it's all fine for a person to adopt a belief in God with all sincerity if they really feel it, but to believe that you are "born again" and that somehow all your past wrong doings and so-called sins have been erased and you have a clean slate to start over again... that's just blowing it all out of proportion and giving in to the appeal of its convenience out of the sudden fear that comes with the type of belief that you have adopted. In other words, it's a display of weak-mindedness and a refusal of claiming responsibility for what you have done and dealing with it. It's the easy way, but in the end, did it work? I like to think it doesn't.

Being born again is spiritual - there are some parts of it that manifest into the physical - all thought patterns end up being manifested at some point - but I would not link that to God's DNA - not sure that having God's DNA is important to being Born Again.

It means that you have been reformed in the understanding and regenerated in the will.
You get a heart of flesh or circumcision of the heart.

I'm sorry, I can't help but tease you people. I don't mean any harm. But that question just asked for it. It was calling my name for a sarcastic answer.
Ok with all the money you people donate to your church, save some of it and buy a sense of humor.
