crate training.

Thats a hard one! I had 3 min pins. I ended up getting rid of them coz i couldnt house train them. You can try crate tranning. But dont think is going to work. Try using a news paper and swat it when you catch it going. The noise scares the crap out of them and then put it outside. Hope this helps.

Please never use your hand when swatting your dog. You dont want your pet to be afraid of you.

I have a Blue Heeller I used a paper on, it worked for her. Now all I have to say is paper, and she hides. She never cowers from me. She has been you bestest friend now for almost 11 years.

honestly the best answer was the first one. Crate training works wonders. They wont go in an area where they are confined. Keep him in the crate for a couple of hours and then take him out to use the bathroom. Also feed him three times a day and then put him outside until he uses the bathroom and then bring him back in. He will eventually get the idea that you are supposed to use the bathroom outside. My puppy learned in two weeks of doing this now he goes to the door and scratches. Keep in mind that they will still have accidents until they fully know better. Dont spank them and rub thier nose in it, instead make a loud noise or yell no to get thier attention of of using the bathroom and then immediatly take them outside so they can finish. Good luck and hope it works out for you!

If it is a puppy they go right after eating and then every two hours more or less. You have to be on it and keep your eyes always pealed and the minute you see it starting to sniff take it outside and tell it potty outside and sit there and wait until it potties and then praise it how good it is and once back in the house keep reminding it by saying potty outside , you better not potty inside and if it beats to the punch rub its nose in it and give it a little swat and tell it no , you dont potty in the house you potty outside and take it outside even tho it alread y might of gone you still take it outside and tell it potty outside. It should only take about 4 days of constant watch and then for about another week or so keep a door cracked so it can go out quickly when it has to go and not wait for someone to open up for them. Second thing you have to do is get the places cleaned where it has gone in the house so it isnt tempted to go there again. Remember they can smell 1400 times better than you can. Try using lemon juice in those spots and alittle biz and problem solved. I kept my puppy on the bed with me at night so there wouldnt be any accidents since when he would start to move around I knew he had to go so I would take him out. I only had to do that for about a week. Its just like potty training a baby except no diapers and thier potty is outside. All that crate training is crap since all that teaches the dog is to go in the crate. People who put dogs in crates shouldnt have dogs or they should try being locked in a tiny crate and have to go right there where they havent any room to get away from it. I have the big version. one king doberman and another which is just a pincher. Dobies are one of the cleanest and smartest dogs there are and i would think the minis are too. My dobies even understand when I spell things to them.

I have 5 miniature pinchers and none of them go to the bathroom in the house. They have all been house trained since 2 1/2 months of age. Crate train them and be persistant! They are smart dogs and can be stubborn especially if they think you are gonna give up first!
Hitting them is only going to piss them off and rubbing their noses in it does NOTHING!

good luck! I had one for 7 years and finally got sick of the pottying in the house... It was my own fault. I should have crate trained her !
I highly suggest crate training it!
