their incessant croaking is driving me batty!

Let my people go!

The problem was that even though the frogs were a plague, there was a law against killing frogs. They represented fertility, and came around when the Nile was high and there was water for the fields. You couldn't kill the goddess of fertility, the frog. So God sent a plague of them, and the people couldn't even kill the frogs. They just had to live with the frogs being everywhere, in their business, in their faces. croak, croak, croak, croak, croak.

I can see why this is driving you batty. The worshipers of the goddess think the frog is sacred. They can't see the plague. Or, they see it but are so much "followers" that they can't react.

croak, croak, croak. Weird, huh? Not many people understand that nuance of the frog plague, so I thought I'd share.

Somehow I never understood how a plague of frogs was possible. But I LIKE frogs and encourage their presence, even en masse, so I guess it just depends on what you're into...

Nope... please come out of the mud. Frogs will continue to drive you batty as long as you keep yourself in mud.

I think I know what you are talking about.... please re-accompany the shining armoured swans and flamingoes.... leave these frogs croaking here.
