Jesus was a Jew, Christians believe that he was the messiah that had been prophesied to come by the Prophet Isaiah and all of the Prophets of the Hebrews. And that he died and was buried for three days, only to rise and be resurrected. He then ascended into heaven to sit on the right hand of the throne of God. And that one day he will return to Judge the living and the dead.To believe this makes you a Christian. If you don't believe this you are a Jew, a Muslim, a Buddhist, Taoist,Hindu,Wicca, atheist, Agnostic, or any other of the many faiths and practice out there in the world. They are too numerous to mention here.

Jesus Christ, the stone which the builders refused (Ps.118:22), would become “the head stone of the corner” ( Lk.20:17) of the church of God (1 Cor.10:32), His living body. Therefore, Mary, blessed among women (Lk.1:48), would become the mother of the church of God, Jesus Christ being the chief corner stone (Eph.2:20), and we in Him being members in particular (1 Cor.12:27).
